The Team

You will be joining a professional and enthusiastic finance team, who strive to provide best in class services within the organisation. Our shared service centre covers all financial activities for most of our European sites.

Purpose Of The Job

To accurately prepare and manage the financial accounting and local compliance including statutory accounting, audit and group submission of the actuals , for the entities responsible for. Provide strong support to the Finance Manager in ad-hoc transformation or other projects. Hybrid role, 2 days at home per week.

Main Accountabilities

  • The production of monthly management accounts, financial reports and other required reports within Company guidelines
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations to be prepared and submitted timely into Blackline ensuring the balance sheet is clean and no aged / unresolved items are outstanding
  • Intercompany accounts fully reconciled with no aged balances and with any differences (if any) fully investigated
  • Prepare and ensure timely filing of statutory accounts for the legal entities in charge if these are required
  • Asset accounting including depreciation run, capitalisation of assets in construction and open/close projects done on time
  • Assist the VAT manager and Tax Manager /Consultants to ensure full tax compliance
  • Support the external auditors during interim and year end audit, ensuring information is provided timely
  • Work with the internal audit department to ensure that any issue raised by them is actioned and resolved by due date
  • Managing the GRIR account and ensuring no aged balance is left unresolved
  • Responsible for preparation/review and timely submission of weekly cashflow forecast
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of the annual BS budget whilst supporting the budgeting of the P&L process
  • Review and approve weekly payment runs
  • Liaise with HR and Payroll provider to ensure that local payroll is processed timely and accurately
  • Manging stakeholder expectations
  • Assist the Senior Manager with finance projects and ad-hoc requests

Essential Requirements

  • Studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
  • Experience of working within a large complex global financial environment
  • Advanced in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, interpersonal, strong written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation, initiative, a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Experience of managing stakeholders (preferable manufacturing)
