Job Description

Your task structureThe purpose of this role is to manage and grow BYKs coatings business in the UK and Ireland, and to provide technical support to customers. The role holder will be required to travel to customers within UK and Ireland. Some overseas travel is necessary. This will predominantly be Germany, for the purpose of attending sales meetings, end use meetings, Key Account meetings, and to accompany customers to seminars. (6-10 times per year approx.)Your recipe for successKey Accountabilities

  • Support of customers in the coatings industry
  • Implementation of the jointly developed sales and marketing strategies into coatings sales activities
  • Identification of market trends (technical, as well as commercial) and assistance in the initiation of internal projects to expand the service portfolio
  • Development of market and competition analyses
  • You will work with and support our end use laboratories and Key Account managers
  • Provide technical support to a range of stakeholders
  • Provide training and support customer seminars.
  • Maintain CRM system

  • Technical experience in the coatings industry
  • Strong track record in sales
  • Specific knowledge of the coatings industry, materials and common processing methods in coatings technology
  • Experience in the technical distribution of specialty coatings
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Strong customer focus
