Job Title: Regional Sales Manager South UK (Automotive Refinishes)
Position Summary and Core Responsibilities
This role manages the overall direct brands sales activities for the Southern region of the U.K. Responsibilities include integrating comprehensive sales, technical service, business strategies, managing relationships with external and internal customers ensuring financial, strategic and operational goals are met within the region.
Your main responsibility in this role is the development of customers and the relationships we own between them, ourselves, and their strategic partners. This is a key customer facing role and will require daily interactions with business partners, attending business meetings, presenting to large groups of stake holders ranging from CEOs to shop floor workers, following-up on contacts and sales actions, attending industry events and networking within the industry and business segments.
Working closely with the Northern RSM and reporting into the Strategic Accounts Manager you will drive the business and direct brands forward both strategically and financially over the years to come. Finally, this role will have a key link to the Sales Support Team (SST) based at the Biggleswade site. The SST will support you and your customers daily.
Reporting into the U.K. Strategic Accounts Manager (SAM) you will provide weekly forecasts, regional news, competitor analysis and business development ideas. The SAM will support you where needed within the region when called for and provide direction and actions when needed. You will have access to the U.K. technical team / advisors and will be able to utilizes their time and dairies to achieve your goals and workload commitments with our direct end users.
Overall, the direct brands team will contribute to the overall U.K. sales budget and play a key part in the business growth and expansion plans. 2021 will see SW take on key third party partnerships in the UK market and you will have an important contribution in owning and developing these relationships for the years to come with a focus on the Southern region of the U.K..
Data analysis and reporting will be needed to address gaps and segments in your region in which you can target and grow. You will need to make sure that the customer satisfaction in your area is closely monitored and that all our customers’ needs are met or surpassed. Annually you will be targeted and budgeted for your region’s performance and growth. This needs to incorporate the strategic plan including progression of customers targeted and existing users.
You will ideally be based around the M4 / M25, this would be advantageous for covering the region. The region will be from Birmingham down to the South coast, South Wales and Devon. Locations to support this region would be best located in Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Slough, Swindon, Peterborough.
Finally, you will be an ambassador for Sherwin Williams direct brands, our overall high standards and the level of service expected in the marketplace.
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
- GCSE or equivalent
- Degree level education
- KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Several years’ experience working in the Automotive VR market or aftermarket.
- Knowledge of VR product, applications, technologies and competition
- Working for paint/coatings company
- Experience within the U.K. Refinish market
- TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (high standard)
- Full UK Driving License
- VR application theory and understanding
