The Regional Rx Engineer is responsible for the implementation and sustainability of the Reliability Excellence Program or interim maintenance strategy throughout the region. The Regional Rx Engineer works closely with various manufacturing or distribution sites to implement the Rx program or ensure the sustainability of said program. The implementation and sustainability will be done through training, mentoring, and monitoring of the progress of each site implementation


  • Collaborate with Maintenance leadership, Production leadership and Quality leadership to implement the Rx or interim strategy tasks and requirements at each facility
  • Reviews implementation requirements to understand site personnel or resource requirements and negotiate with the involved areas
  • Identifies required technical skills to perform reliability tasks
  • Build and lead the implementation plans for each specific facility
  • Facilitates communication channels for the maintenance department department or site personnel
  • Assist facilities with maintenance issues as needed
  • Analyses facilities with maintenance issues as needed
  • Analyses maintenance work trends to improve implementation process
  • Ensures the communication and implementation of the Reliability Excellence practices and requirements
  • Supports the site personnel with questions or problems impacted by the Rx program
  • Train key users and end users on the correct usage of the eAM module
  • Leads implementation meetings with the maintenance staff and/or site staff to ensure completion of level implementations
  • Reviews completed work for compliance with requirements and suggests improvements or changes when needed
  • Works with contractors to improve tool or skill availability for SW Rx staff
  • Identifying opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Rx program at each site
  • Maintains Rx metrics
  • Promote and share of best practices – a key aspect of the regional team
  • Creates reports for sites/regions as needed through the OBIEE tool
  • Drive towards standardisation where at all possible to ensure better sharing of equipment, parts and knowledge going forward
  • Audit sites for certification or sustainability of the Rx program

Support implementation of the Rx:

  • Lead meetings to monitor level progress through implementation documents (Bi-weekly with every site)
  • Communicate requirements adequately to maintenance, operations, safety, quality etc.
  • Ensure compliance with requirements for every site (WO Exceptions, metrics etc.)
  • Help validate creation of assets and activities for all sites
  • Monitor sustainability of Rx Levels for each site. Help with training of new resources on Rx practices and requirements
  • Communicate regional/site needs with Division Eng

Support for eAM. The regional resource is the “first line of defense” for any issues with eAM:

  • Clear up question on system usage
  • Help to fix errors in the system with every site
  • Help validate creation of assets and activities for all sites
  • Build reports in OBIEE for specific site needs as they are requested
  • Help with training of new resources on eAM and OBIEE system usage
  • Communicate regional/site needs with Division Eng
