Summary: Regional Engineering Director manages the applications engineering activities for Global Supply Chain Europe with the support of regional engineering. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, implementing technical service and applications engineering programs, and ensuring the effective flow of communication between groups across Europe. Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the day to day activities of a group of engineers who may be assigned to one very large project, a group of projects or a specific geographic area
  • Evaluates sales proposals submitted by the team to ensure they are technically accurate, consistent with the organisation's quality and price standards, and align with the organisation's overall strategy for its products and services
  • Liaises with functional and operational managers across engineering, engineering team is up to date on new product developments and sites investment need so that the organisation can modify its projects and services to respond to changing markets
  • Develops, evaluates, and reviews integration and installation procedures and standards to ensure that work is of a consistently high quality
  • Selects, leads, directs, evaluates, and develops a team of engineers to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and according to customer requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related field or equal education and experience is preferred
  • Significant experience as an Applications Engineer
  • Utilising comprehensive industry and product applications concepts and procedures
  • Applying comprehensive principles and practices with the applications field
  • Understanding of comprehensive applications equipment and specifications
  • Working with suppliers and vendors to facilitate new products and equipment design and implementation
  • Providing advanced operational and technical guidance and advice to improve quality, efficiency and line design
  • Working with all levels of personnel
  • Communicating technical and operational concepts to facilitate sales
  • Providing advanced technical customer service
  • Working with multiple divisions of organisation
  • Willing to travel - 40%
