Job Purpose

As a valued member of our R&D team, you will develop and support, prepare, execute and analyse our existing portfolio in the field of wind turbine rotor blade coatings to gain insights into new development and improve existing technologies in line with our R&D strategy. You could be involved in developing new products, technologies and test methods as well as developing a fundamental understanding of key coating attributes or testing/supporting existing products, processes and coating systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a consultant & provide guidance/coaching to colleagues.
  • Use your knowledge to develop technically feasible solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Support assessment of technologies, processes & capabilities.
  • Effectively execute assigned projects/activities.
  • Proactively look for & implement new techniques/methodologies.
  • Contribute to AkzoNobel technical forums.
  • Identify & exploit all opportunities to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Work & operate safely.

Job Requirements

  • A degree or greater in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in a similar R&D role.
  • Able to nurture & motivate colleagues.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
