What to expect

You’ll be based in our recently opened Innovation Hub in Redditch, Worcestershire working in our laboratory where you will carry out raw material evaluations, product testing and formulation development.

Key Accountabilities

Within the role of Paint Technology Manager you will have responsibility to conduct the following activities:
• Conducting formulation development.
• Taking information and strategic insight from our marketing and technical committee to identify work priorities and SMART objectives to help drive the business forwards.
• Creating formulations in the laboratory.
• Liaising with technical and sales colleagues to understand the business needs.
• Presenting findings to the customer.

What you’ll need

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
We would be excited to talk to you if you have the following experience and skills:
• A degree level qualification in Chemistry (or equivalent experience)
• The ability to create products in a number of fields of application in CASE, with particular focus on paint technology.
• Solid experience and ability to evaluate raw materials and create formulations in a number of industrial market segments. Major focus areas are Industrial and Decorative Coatings (film forming and non-film forming).
• Commercial product technical formulation experience.
• An understanding of the sensitivities associated with a commercial sales operation.
• Analytical with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to learn, reach consensus and communicate in an operational environment.
• Presentation skills
