Job Description
The Video Category Product Manager will support Poly HP’s extensive line of video conferencing devices at the global level. This is a critical cross functional role where you are striving to become the video product expert in a matrix organization. You will be responsible for driving day-to-day execution on key video product line go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and programs.
You are an individual with a strong understanding of the technology sector, market trends and challenges. A creative thinker who can gain the respect of the sales teams to help them win in an increasingly fast moving and competitive environment. In this position, you will report to the Director – Poly Category Product Management with day-to-day supporting the Lead Video Category Manager.
- Own operationalization of key global GTM programs (demand generation / product promotions / new product introductions / end-of-sale activities etc )
- Drive cross-functional execution on global GTM programs (approval, launch, optimization, EOL)
- Monitor key product performance metrics and proactively surface any important insights
- Extract actionable trends on market / competitors leveraging 3rd-party data sources
- Build up expert knowledge of the video business and recommend changes to programs and initiatives to accelerate revenue growth and/or share gain
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience from within either product management or product marketing background along with a strong business acumen, ideally working for global hi-tech company.
- BA/BS degree required
- Awareness of the Unified Communications market and current customer trends
- Commitment to ensuring the customer is a central part of everything we do
- Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and remotely in a matrix organization
- Business savviness and people skills are essential for success.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, think strategically, implement tactically
- Track record of meeting and exceeding goals
- Eagerness to collaborate across boundaries toward common goals

As the Theatre Market Manager in the Peripherals/HWS HP-Poly Category Team, you will be responsible for partnering with the wider category team, finance, sales to help build out critical new supporting elements of the business management system (BMS) for the HP-Poly business.
