Automotive Paint Technician-Stockport

RESPONSIBILITIES

Located at a prestigious manufacturer in the Midlands – England, you will be part of the BASF on-site service team. This job role will carry out/support various Technical Paint Operations and tasks on site. As an Automotive Paint Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Collecting technical data, analysing and presenting findings to our customer
• Collecting Paint technical measures, which includes Film builds measures (PELT)/Colour Output (Bykmac)/ Paint Appearance (Wavescan), Process Checks Temperature/Humidity/Downdrafts and oven checks (Datapak)
• Understanding of customers logistical system to ensure all the required measures can be tracked and captured as and when required.
• Achieve customer Quality Targets/KPI’s (Key performance indicators). Analyse data and identify potential route cause of any quality concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The successful candidate should ideally have 4 GCSEs grade 4 and above or equivalent and/or a Level 3 NVQ qualification preferably in Manufacturing/Production
• You should have a good understanding and knowledge of paint and paint application
• You have experience of working with various types of measurement software (PELT/BYK Mac/Wavescan), as well as having the ability to use Microsoft/IT systems.
• You have good communication skills and can collaborate well with internal and customer teams
• You will need to work in-line with BASF Health and Safety policies, whilst also adhering to customer site rules. This includes understanding and adhering to ALL general safety requirements. Driving Safety first principles.
