Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to support the achievement of business and people objectives within the Company. To provide professional HR advise to all employees and managers. The role will be a key point of contact to all Line Mangers and staff in offering generalist support and advice on HR related queries.

Duties and Responsibilities

To provide full HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
To assist with payroll.
To support the HR Manager in setting and developing HR’s strategic role within the Company / projects.
To support development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasises quality, safety, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Drafting, implementing and championing best practise of HR policies and procedures.
Championing best practise
Managing Training & Development
Dealing with employee relation matters

Essential Skills & Experience

Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) Level 5 qualification or equivalent / or to be currently working towards.
Experience of advising and coaching managers in employee relations and HR practices and processes.
Highly developed HR skills including coaching, mentoring, facilitating and influencing.
Knowledge of UK employment law and proposed legislation changes.
The ability to prioritise work and respond to the needs of the business.
Experience in payroll administration and providing professional HR advice and recruitment service to staff and managers.
Drafting, implementing and championing best practise of HR policies and procedures.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of the team.
Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to produce and present required correspondence (letters, reports, presentations).
Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills including MS Word and Excel
Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure.
Self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem solving attitude.
A full, clean, UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will be confident, professional, with clear communication at all times. They will be versatile and willing to take on new challenges. They will also be able to adhere to processes and protocol and have the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines, the department objectives and work calmly under pressure.
