Job Title: Compliance Manager / Compliance Officer
Location: Congleton, CW12 1UW
Salary: Competitive Job type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. Fine Decor Wallcoverings Ltd is a leading Wallcoverings and Décor products supplier based in Congleton, Cheshire and part of the Brewster group whose offices are in Boston, USA. The Role: The QA and Compliance Manager plays a key role within our Operations Management Team. You will be helping to ensure product & process compliance along with ensuring customer product quality & information demands are consistently met & exceeded. You will also work in collaboration with other departments including Production, Sales & Design. The successful candidate should have work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the company is compliant with the requirements of:-FSC/PEFC/EUTR/UKTR

  • SEDEX/SMETA/Social & Ethical Responsibility
  • UK Packaging Regulations
  • ISO9001 Quality management including the control and use of CE and CA marks, control supplier audits, REACH and Prop65 compliance checks, EPD certification reviews. Production quality process control. Answer customer queries relating to Social/Ethical (QUEST etc.) Timber (TFT etc.) legislation Internal and customer production testing & reporting (new product & production queries) Lead, implement, maintain & review own process improvement projects and trials The Candidate:
  • A positive hands-on approach
  • Confident in using multiple software/web based platforms & adapting to new or changing data entry websites.
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to multi task effectively
  • Capacity to function alone without direct oversight & work on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively both externally and internally, at all levels, verbally & using written communication.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Ability to use Visio would be an advantage
  • Have the ability to create a positive working environment
